One man, one march to Pelosi’s office
I heard about this 60 year old’s walk from Fanueil Hall to DC from a commenter at AngryBlackBitch’s blog. His name is John Nirenberg, and here is a little about him from his blog entitled MarchInMyName:
What makes this 60 year old, slightly overweight believer in the system take to the street? What makes this life-long servant of the establishment more at home in comfort than in conflict spend an inadequate retirement savings to seek the President and Vice President’s impeachment? What exactly shook me awake from my trance of complacency?
My name is John Nirenberg. I was born in the midst of the Nuremberg Trials. I grew up conscious of that place as both the beginning of the hate and violence that destroyed all of Europe, and the trials that confirmed a powerful moral sense of what is acceptable and unacceptable even in the depths of war.
That’s a long-assed walk this time of year for a guy in his later years. How many of us would do this? How many of us care about our country this much? Not many..and I include myself in that list. He is going to DC to see Nancy Pelosi. He wants Impeachment back on the table. I agree and many of us here agree too, but how many of us care enough to do what he is doing?

I mean seriously… He’s upset that the House and Senate went along with the President so let’s impeach the President for it? If we’re going to say that Bush is a liar over what he went to war with then so is Clinton, Kennedy, Kerry and the rest of the blockheads that voted for war. Why isn’t he impeaching them? Why isn’t he starting a revolution? Does impeaching the President really changing anything? C’mon… seriously… This guy is on a long walk to freeze his ass off for nothing.

Clinton, Kennedy, Kerry and the rest of them bought into what BushCo was selling steve..to hold them accountable for actually believing what the Fuckwit-in-Chief said would be disingenuous I think.
Did you watch the video and his reasons for this march? Sorry, but I don’t think people are loony when they practice what they preach.

First of all he’s wrong on that we a randomly torturing people. They water boarded 3 people.
second-the government is not listening to your phone calls. Data mining is not eavesdropping.
So when the democrats take over everything and ruin this country will he still be making these type of speeches then?

I know this the same way you know everyone is innocent, and everyone is tortured. Why would I assume that everyone caught on the battlefield is innocent? I bet if they had a choice to go to a prison in Saudi Arabia or Egypt I bet they would choose to back to Gitmo.
So if President Hillary ever catches a suspect terrorist are you going to assume they are Innocent and you will demand their release.
Thanks to the democrats and our wonderful media how much you wanna bet every prisoner released from there will claim they are tortured and they love that people in this country are defending them. They think we are a joke and thanks to people that tout this crap we are.

For two years? Where have you been? The shrub has been doing impeachable offensives for most of his administration. He has suspended habius corpus, authorized torture and wire tapped without warrants. If we had even the morality of the nixon age, he and cheney would be long gone.

There is one simple fact Lisa is pointing out though: We don’t know anything!
It’s always these crazies like this guy walking in the snow to try and prove something that make people flock to him like he is some sort of messiah. What happens when the tables turn? Say (God freaking forbid) Hillary becomes President. In a few years, there will be all these whacky libertarian types that want to impeach her over whatever scandal she is running from (travelgate… filegate…whitewatergate…etc).
It really swings both ways Dusty… we can’t lean so far left because your team momentum… Being out of balance is what fucked this country up in the first place… Any Tom, Dick and Harry that thinks they have some “moral obligation” or “higher calling” to bring something so serious to us that we all should bow down and listen to, has to be looked at with jaded eye.

There is no defending something that you attempt to post as fact without any attribution or a valid media source. Even Fox Noise is a media source Lisa. Blogs or wingnut websites are not and when your pressed to back up your assertions that is all you have..your pov or wingnut sites.
