Move No one says a word on BIO

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Boy, sometimes BIO authors might make a bit of sense.  And other times…  They completely ignore reality.

Any of you even notice that the House blew out’s ad in the NYT?  341-79?  Sounds like a Stevie Nicks song er… landslide to me.

So what happened guys?  I thought the Democrats had their way to get this war over.  The extreme left gets all high and mighty with it’s rhetoric.  The base of the left acts like a bunch of crazy cheerleaders and then oops!  The party goes on a bit longer than it need and it’s “Hey wait a minute?  We just blew out a competent General who actually knows more about the situation in Iraq than anybody else on the planet.”

Kudos for ignoring what is real and what we should all be worrying about in this world.

Ronald Reagan once said, “Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so.”

Good job my fellow Americans… You Rock!!!

The Coal Mining Disaster and My Perception of the Media

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

Suprised BIO isn’t blaming this one on the lack of the US’s effort in containing greenhouse gasses because afterall, coal is the cause of all of the scientific consensus out there.

I haven’t paid attention to this disaster too much.  Only what I see on my web browser’s homepage:  Yahoo!  But it sounds like a bunch of “short yellow bus” students working up there.  First it was a cave in.  Then no… it was an earthquake.  Then no the cave in caused the earthquake.  Then no… it was the other way around.  Meanwhile 4 people are trapped.

So they start drilling and it is going to take 4 days to get there.  Then they get there in two days but it takes another 12 hours to pull the drill out.  Then suprise!  They hit the wrong chamber… they think.  Right here is where I went, oh man…  If these guys made it this far, they are severely fucked now because it will take another 2 1/2 days to get to these guys.  But then I wake up and the drill miracuously reaches the chamber these guys are in… but it will take awhile to pull the drill back and see.

It’s been a week now.  72 hours worth of provisions for each guy.  Who knows how this is going to turn out.  But the media is forcefeeding us this story.  I mean, if there were people alive trapped under the bridge in Minnesota we’d still be there.  But no… the media wants to write the story for the Pullizers and made for TV movies about Utah Coal.

You really can’t avoid these stories no matter how hard you try.
