Finally a Realistic Energy Policy

It only took 32 years for the Congress and the White House to finally realize that the sacrifice American’s need to make is in our energy consumption. All of the SUV’s that are gulping down the Go-go juice will have to change and that is just the beginning of the end of the oil monopoly in the world. President Bush has stated that he will sign the bill into law and frankly I thought he would have vetoed it based on some ridiculous facts. I am frankly and apologetical ly stating that I was wrong about President Bush and this issue. Stuff that up your back side Haszinski! That is another story from another post.

Through all the arguments in the House and in the Senate over the last few weeks we now have a compromise and an energy policy that just might reverse the madness that is our energy usage. Over at the New York Times they have this coverage on the only real energy policy change in 32 years in America…

How Would Santa Clause Rate George Bush?

A post I wrote yesterday has gathered a fair amount of traction in the comment area. As usually, there have been some provocative statements, particularly revolving around the trustworthin ess of George Bush.

George has lost me in the faith category. I don’t trust the man. Others do. Why, I don’t know. But I don’t hate the man as some GWB allies would suggest. Moreover, I would like to be convinced otherwise because I would hate to think that George Bush has tarnished the Presidency to such a degree that with some one else at the helm we couldn’t recover. So, I thought I would post the above question.

Bush “InteliGate” World Tour Debut

Over at the White House they are starting the process of cleansing themselves and the full administrati on of any evidence that they condoned any crimes. The latest news is that video tapes of severe torture cases were destroyed to protect the identities of the CIA in-terror-ga tors.

Today President Bush stated that he had no recollection of the tapes and their destruction. That is when you take a whiff to the air and ask yourself if you are near a cow farm full of bulls because something just does not smell right.

Saudi Arabia… Screw You Wall Street

There is not one person that knows the oil business better than the folks in Saudi Arabia when it comes to supply and demand on the world oil market. Even Saudi Arabia is wondering how the world of oil market speculation has the price of a barrel of oil tempting at the hundred dollar mark. With that thought in mind the nation of Saudi Arabia is exploring for new oil fields with all of the new technology available to ramp up production thus saying to oil market speculators in the market, Screw YOU!

Wall Street can play the game and pocket the cash but I’m thinking that the producers of oil in the world are looking at the bigger picture and alternative energy sources are more than attractive with oil at one hundred dollars a barrel. That is and will be a direct effect to the bottom line of all oil producing exporting countries, aka OPEC. Oil has only been the main source of heating and vehicle power because it was cheap and affordable to the masses. That is no longer the case.

Clinton on Science, Energy and Stem Cells

I’ve been watching many of the candidates on the Democrat side of the election process for President and I’m finding myself surprised that Senator Clinton has my interest raised. I’ve known since her husband was President that she was a believer in science and understandin g our bodies and our world is a never ending investigatio n, I did not know that she was so committed to unleashing our nations brainiacs and scientists to solve many of the ills that the current President silenced.

Stem cell research needs more than just the private sector to make considerable progress. Stem cell research needs the freedom of our universities and colleges to experiment without fear of losing federal grants or funding. Stem cell research is the science of our human future and without it many of the debilitating or life ending diseases will shorten the life span of many Americans.

The Day The Fourth Amendment Died

August 5, 2007. Remember that date. You may very well be asked by a child or grandchild to explain this abomination.   Those who have not walked and witnessed this Constitution al erosion will undoubtedly have many questions.

How could Congress pass an unconstituti onal law?”
